Research Projects
IDS Scheer is involved in several research projects to advance the state of the art in business process management. Researching the future of BPM has a long tradition at IDS Scheer. Actually, IDS Scheer was founded as a spin-off of the University of Saarland more than 20 years ago. Since that time, IDS Scheer grew from a small university spin-off to a global player in the business process management market.

Research activities at IDS Scheer are focused around the six strategic product solutions shown above and the research work around the Software-Cluster. For example, IDS Scheer created an automated EPC to BPEL transformation as part of the "Business-Driven SOA" solution. Transferring research results into actual products is a challenging task. Therefore, IDS Scheer collaborates with different universities, use-case partners, and research institutes in national and international research projects:
